When you think of street food, food trucks immediately come to mind. These ubiquitous four-wheeled caravans epitomise our street food culture and are a mainstay of local festivals, food events and farmers markets. Yet, there is a new kid in town — the food bike. Ultra-local, shining with green credentials, and the perfect start-up, these two-wheelers are redefining street food as we know it with their take on food-to-go. What’s the appeal of the bike for city dwellers and food entrepreneurs?
We have been in love with Dinosaur Designs since we first discovered them in Sydney over a decade ago! Makers of jewelry, tableware and furniture, Dinosaur Designs is one of Australia's iconic brands recognized worldwide for its distinctive craftsmanship. Each object is hand-sculptured from materials like resin and are immediately recognisable for their boldness of design, luminescence, and simplicity. So you can image our delight when we discovered on a recent walk through Soho that Dinosaur Designs will be soon available in London. The store will be part of the new Ham Yard hotel and urban village located on the corner of Great Windmill Street and Ham Yard. Look for an August opening.
I just thought I would share a quick preview of my forthcoming article with Countan Magazine. It's about food bikes and the inspiring food concepts that these bike enthusiasts and food entrepreneurs are taking to the street.

As soon as it's live, I'll post the article. Amorino is a true cosmopolitan with locations in New York, London, throughout Europe and even New Caledonia. In London, home is Soho where this ice-cream boutique prides itself on its craftsmanship and quality of ingredients. Flavours come from the classics rather than the annals of fashion - cioccolato (chocolate), stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate), dulce de leche (caramel), and our personal favourite, Sorbetto Bergamotto (made from Calabria lemons). Each cone of gelato is crafted into the shape of a flower - Amorino's signature or for something different, try the ice cream macarons (no explanation needed)! For those that like to alternate their summer with their winter treats, try Amorino's most delicious selection of hot chocolates. There are ten to choose from including arancia e canella (orange and cinnamon) and mandorla (almond).
