This is the food walk for the well-heeled, beginning with the uber-celebrity haunt of Primrose Hill and finishing with a stroll through Hampstead Heath.

Start your food walk at Chalk Farm tube station, discovering the local favorites of the Primrose Hill set, including Primrose Bakery whose cupcakes are famously endorsed by Goop and her celebrity friends. Set your sights for Regents Park Road, making sure that you stop at Richard Dare for his coveted cookware as well as Judith Michael & Daughter for its quaint selection of vintage finds before climbing to the top of Primrose Hill for one of the best views of London.
From here, go local as you wind your way towards Belsize Park. Make sure you say hello at Barrett’s Butchers on the way and appreciate the selection of sausages – wild boar and apple, venison, beef and horseradish. Be sure to visit Pomona for its heartening and feel-good organic vibe, when you emerge at Haverstock Hill.
From here you will start your ascent to the Heath by visiting Hampstead’s local providores. If you have time, sit in the timeless European elegance of Louis Patisserie and be served a poppy-seed Danish and a pot of tea. Close by is Hampstead Antiques Market including the modern home-wares Maud & Mabel as well as that purveyor of nostalgia – Loved Again. Return from your climb of the Heath via the community market to stock your London larder with something from Hampstead Butchers or Hampstead Seafoods UK as well as some farmyard cheese from Neal’s yard.
Having stocked your larder, complete your walk with a great vintage find from this friendly store. Picnic basket full and with a rug to boot - now it’s time to head to Hampstead Heath.
