LONDON FOOD WALK | PIMLICO SW1

Here in the heart of Victoria, you'll find the London of Londoners. Start your walk around Upper Tachbrook Street at one of London’s true neighbourhood markets or at Labella Sicilia, a small Italian family-run deli on Warwick Way. While there drop into Rippon Cheese Store - this landmark cheese purveyor has been supplying London for the last twenty years and its storeroom lends itself to at least an hour of tasting. Bonne Bouche is always a treat. While a Continental bakery, it sells English classic bakes like treacle tart.
Head south towards the Thames and simply walk the back streets of Pimlico. Beyond the rows of B&Bs and tourist hotels, enjoy the coloured blooms that bring life to the otherwise austere architecture . Look out for Khallouk & Taylor hidden among the tree-lined streets or the equally quaint, Delizie D’Italia located on Lupus Street - a deli that is another reminder of the Italian heritage of this area.
Continue walking with the aim of sampling the boutique purveyors of fine food in Belgravia. Daylesford Organic is a must and if it is a Saturday, Pimlico Farmers Market on Orange Square. The produce here is always inspiring, especially stalls like Wild Country Organics for leafy greens. If indulgence is more your thing, then try William Curley for a fusion-inspired chocolate afternoon tea.
