 The idea behind london food essentials was a simple one - a hand-drawn map of Soho given to a friend visiting from Australia. It was rudimentary but marked out the main streets and where to go and what to find. It was in its essence a local's guide to london - an in-the-know guide drawn by someone on a great london food adventure. So you can imagine my excitement at the publication of the site's first illustrated map by the very talented illustrator, Livi Gosling.
